Cinnamon Sugar Pita Chips

Ingredients

  • 4 pita bread rounds
  • 2 tbsp vegan butter
  • 3 tbsp organic cane sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Whisk together the cinnamon and sugar until well combined.
  3. Melt the butter in the microwave in a microwave-safe bowl. This should only take about 15 to 20 seconds.
  4. Lay the pita rounds in an even layer on a cutting board.
  5. Using a small pastry brush, spread the melted butter all over both sides of each pita round.
  6. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over the top of one side of each pita.
  7. Using a pizza wheel or sharp knife, cut each pita bread into 8 triangles and place in an even layer onto the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 8-12 minutes, until crisp.
  9. Transfer the baking sheet to a cooling rack to continue to cool the pita chips completely. They will continue to crisp up as they cool.
